One more time ... At my last writing, we were just short of commiting to no more litters, finishing titles on the dogs we still have, and moving on to other pasttimes. That lasted a little over a year, and back we are again. We decided to undertake another breeding late this year, and it appears as though we have puppies due on Christmas Day (how's that for an unwrapping). I need to update photos, but the Sire and Dam are Ch. Foxglen Surgical Strike (Striker) and Ch. Sanlyn's Jennaluv of Tailgate (Jenna). With almost three weeks to go, Jenna seems huge for this stage of the game, and we're hoping we don't have repeat performances of litters between 10-12 puppies. Hopefully we'll have a "normal" litter size this time. We're looking foward to the new litter and hope everything goes well in the whelping process. As far as other activities, Sandi is keeping herself busy with her horses. We're back down to five horses on our property, Sonic, Dusty, Roo, Schocki, and the mini, Waldo. I finished the final exterior wall on the barn in early December (we left that side open during the summer, but decided the wind was too breezy with the open wall), and have completed our stalls inside and the paddocks outside. Sandi is riding on a Rodeo drill team during the spring/summer and training during the fall/winter. I haven't done much with the Harley with the cold weather. I have a new aftermarket headpipe to install this winter, and a retuning to do. But with the cold/rainy weather in Oregon, I have plenty of time for that project. So for now, I'll concentrate on the upcoming litter and see where that takes us. I'll be posting photos shortly of the Sire and Dam, and will be setting up a new "puppy page" prior to the whelping. For now, visit our new site at sanlyn.us to view our new format and see our puppy page. Mark |
